Mark Scozzafave

Mark is a lifelong musician and director whose life has traversed the intersections of art, faith, and community for several decades. Mark currently leads the music programs at the vibrant church of Old St. Patrick’s in Chicago. He brings an extensive background in technology consulting, coupled with a lifelong devotion to music to his work of pastoral, artistic ministry and creative concerts.

About

Mark holds degrees in Management Information Systems and in Music Theory from the University of Notre Dame, and a Masters in Music Theory and Cognition from Northwestern University. He lives in Little Italy with his wife Aimee, a soprano and physician, and enjoys exploring Chicago’s food scene, writing, and being a Peloton devotee. In addition to his work as a composer and arranger for GIA Publications, Mark also serves on the Leadership Team for Old St. Patrick's Church.

In his role as Director of Music, Mark leads and supports all liturgical / sacramental music and concert programs. Beyond resurrecting the Siamsa na nGael concert for its 25th anniversary, Mark creates and co-directs the acclaimed Deck The Hall concerts and Broadway on Adams, and musically helms extensive liturgical and holiday celebrations that occur throughout the year at Old St. Pat’s.
